Why stability testing is required

Accelerated stability and compatibility testing demonstrates that a cosmetic remains safe, stable and fit for use throughout its intended shelf life. Under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, stability data is an essential component of both the CPSR and the Product Information File (PIF).

What we evaluate

We assess how your formulation performs under stressed conditions — elevated temperature, humidity and light exposure — to predict long-term behaviour in a shorter timeframe, identifying changes in physical, chemical or sensory properties. In parallel, compatibility testing checks the interaction between the product and its packaging, so the formula does not degrade, leak, discolour or react with the container.

Documented, regulator-ready results

Testing is conducted with accredited laboratories to internationally recognised standards. The reports provide the evidence safety assessors and authorities need to support shelf-life determination, Period After Opening (PAO) justification and overall EU compliance.

It demonstrates your product stays safe and stable across its shelf life, and it provides the stability data required in the CPSR and PIF under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
It checks the interaction between your formula and its packaging, confirming the product does not degrade, leak, discolour or react with the container during storage and use.
Typically 6 × 100 g or ml per product, with a turnaround of approximately 100–105 days because the testing runs over time under controlled conditions.
Yes — the results support PAO justification and shelf-life determination for your product.
