Accelerated Stability and Compatibility Testing is a critical step in demonstrating that cosmetic products remain safe, stable, and fit for use throughout their intended shelf life. Under EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, stability data is an essential component of both the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) and the Product Information File (PIF).
Our Accelerated Stability and Compatibility Test service evaluates how your cosmetic formulation performs under stressed conditions such as elevated temperature, humidity, and light exposure. These tests help predict long-term product behavior in a shorter timeframe, identifying potential changes in physical, chemical, or sensory properties.
In parallel, compatibility testing assesses the interaction between the cosmetic product and its packaging. This ensures that the formulation does not degrade, leak, discolor, or react with the packaging material during storage and normal use.
All testing is conducted in collaboration with accredited laboratories and follows internationally recognized standards. The resulting reports provide documented evidence required by safety assessors and regulatory authorities, supporting shelf-life determination, Period After Opening (PAO) justification, and overall EU compliance.
