The problem
Environmental packaging rules are national, not European. A pack that is perfectly marked for Germany may be non-compliant in France, and the French retailer will notice before the regulator does. Marketplaces increasingly check this at listing stage, which turns a labelling detail into a blocked launch.
This service gives you a single, clear answer per market: what your packaging has to carry, on which component, and in what words.

What we need from you
- A list of every packaging component with its material.
- Your current artwork or a description of what is on the pack today.
- Whether you sell direct to consumers, through retail, or both.
What this is not
- Not graphic design. No artwork, no logo files, no layout.
- Not scheme registration. We tell you what registration is required; joining the scheme remains your action, though we will point you to it.
- Not a cosmetic label review. Article 19 particulars are a separate service.
Why this is worth €40
- It is a blocked-launch problem, not a fine problem. French marketplaces and retailers check Triman and Info-Tri before they list you.
- The rules are genuinely national. There is no single EU answer to copy, and the guidance is mostly published in the national language.
- Your designer needs a specification, not a regulation. We translate the requirement into instructions someone can apply to artwork.
- Marking is only half of it. Most of these markets also require producer registration, and a correctly marked pack from an unregistered producer is still non-compliant.
No. We tell you which marking is required, at what size, with what accompanying text and on which component. Producing the artwork is your designer’s job. We deliberately do not offer graphic design, and the price reflects that.

No. Packaging rules apply to the packaging, whatever it contains. If you sell other product categories into the same markets the same guide logic applies — tell us at intake.
The UK operates its own packaging regime outside the EU framework and is not covered by this service. Contact us if you need it and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
